Things are looking up

Well things certainly are looking up. I have finalised my contract and will be working 3 days a week from Monday so I am less stressed now!. Always a good thing. Hopefullt James will be able to find a job too so I can stay working part time and so can he and we can each look after the boys while the other is working. That would be fantastic. It will probably be hard work trying to find a job for even 2 days a week at the moment though because everyone is going through hard times and companies are holding off employing people. James applied for a Paper round last week (delivering papers to houses 2 nights a week from a van, starting at 2am) and the guy who advertised the job had over 40 applicants. Imagine that, for a paper round! a couple of months ago he reckons he would have been lucky to get 2 applicants. A sign of the times unfortunately.
Anyway something will come up I am sure, it always does.
We have been having so much rain up here at the moment, I just wish I could send it down to Victoria to put out those horrible bush fires once and for all and break the drought. Goodness knows they need it more than we do at the moment. If only there was a way to do it.
Our thoughts are with all the people affected by the bush fires in Vic and the floods in Nth Qld. Isn't it amazing how much the Australian people have pulled together to help the people affected by these disasters. Australia really is the best place to live. Aussie, Aussie, Aussie.......

well it has been a pretty uneventful week. I am still looking for a job which is getting a bit stressful as we currently have no money coming in. We have never been in the position where we are both unemployed before. I am sure something will come up soon. In fact I have been offered a casual position with the company where I had my last contract but I am still waiting for them to get in touch to finalise the details such as pay, days, etc. The great thing about this position, if it comes through, is that I can stay for as long as I like, so if I get a full time role in a couple of weeks they are fine with me leaving or I can continue doing it for a few months until the project is complete that I am working on. It means there will be some money coming in in the meantime until a contract or permanent position comes along. Also if James can get a job for the days I am not working maybe we will be in a position where I don't need to get full time work for a little while and I can spend some more time with my boys.
Wow this is only my second post but it is a great way to vent. Why haven't I done this before. It is quite therapeutic! lol
We are off to Dreamworld tomorrow which should be fun. We have annual passes which we have only used a couple of times so we thought we had better start using them more to get our money's worth. Brandon is very excited, it has been a few months since we last went. I am sure they have some new stuff we haven't seen yet. Even if they haven't I am sure we will spend most of our time there in Wiggle World as that is Brandon's favourite part at the moment!
Well better go, bit tired. Should get some sleep before our little man wakes for his middle of the night feed. He will be 12 weeks old tomorrow, doesn't time fly?
I am very lucky to have 2 beautiful sons and the best husband in the world. I shouldn't stress so much, something will come along, it always does.
